Memo Text

On September 4, 2018, Gov. Asa Hutchinson announced that teachers holding the 528 Computer Science Endorsement on their Arkansas Educator’s License would be eligible to receive a paid CSTA+ membership to the international Computer Science Teachers Association (CSTA).

The Arkansas Department of Education (ADE) Office of Computer Science is pleased to outline the processes by which a teacher may receive this paid membership and/or potential reimbursement for CSTA+ membership fees already paid since July 1, 2018.

Arkansas educators must hold the 528 Computer Science endorsement on their Arkansas Educator’s License to be eligible. Educators meeting this requirement may begin the process to join or be reimbursed by filling out the Google form found at: http://bit.ly/CSforARCSTA

Once the form is completed, all information will be shared with the ADE and CSTA. After licensure verification by ADE, the CSTA membership team will contact you with membership information.

Any questions or concerns, please email membership@csteachers.org and CSforAR@arkansas.gov

The funding for this program is being provided by the ADE Office of Computer Science, and continuation of this program is subject to the availability of funds appropriated by legislative act.
