Memo Text

The Arkansas Playbook was created in an effort to provide resources and/or guidance in tackling unfinished learning for teachers by fellow teachers upon the return to school. The idea of the Arkansas Playbook was to put it into immediate action as a response to the change from onsite to offsite instruction due to COVID-19. It was released mid-May in order to get unit plans in the hands of educators prior to the close of the 2019-2020 school year to foster thinking and planning for the upcoming 2020-2021 school year. The playbook addresses continuous improvement for not only tackling unfinished learning but in creating an ongoing process to focus on student learning and results in a collaborative culture.

The Arkansas Statewide Guiding Coalition will provide a webinar on Thursday, June 11, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. to overview the academic plans and resources for Reentry and Re Engagement to onsite learning.  The webinar will present the components of the Arkansas Playbook, the planning and guidance resources, and what the next steps will look like in order to create an ongoing process of continuous improvement. Further details into the process of planning the units will be available by each of the collaborative teacher teams virtually through the ADE Summit, June 16th-18th.
