Bookkeepers; Child Nutrition Directors, Child Nutrition Managers, and Food
Service Management Company Employees
The Arkansas Department of
Education (ADE), Division of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE), Child
Nutrition Unit (CNU) will be conducting two
separate live virtual training sessions for School Food Authorities (SFAs)
and for Food Service Management Companies (FSMCs).
Live
Virtual Training Session for SFAs only
- Who should attend the training?
Districts that are required to rebid for school year (SY) 2021-2022 and districts that are interested in the FSMC procurement process should attend the training.
- What will the training cover?
The
training will cover the whole process of procuring a FSMC, including the early
stages of planning, the difference in the contract options, managing the
contract once in place, etc. and questions/answers.
- Where will the training be held?
The
training will be held in a live virtual format. A link to the training will be
provided to the districts who sign up.
- How to sign up for the training?
If you are interested in attending the live virtual training session for SFAs only, please send Mary Lee Dennis or your Area Specialist an email notifying CNU of the interest in attending. *Districts that are required to rebid for SY 21-22 will automatically receive a link to the training.
- When will the training be?

- Who should attend the training?
FSMCs that are registered with CNU to do business with school districts in the State of Arkansas and any FSMC that is interested in becoming registered with CNU.
- What will the training cover?
The training will cover the whole procurement process, including the contract options available for districts, implementation of the contract, the continued execution of the contract, etc. and questions/answers.
- Where will the training be held?
The training will be held in a live virtual format. A link to
the training will be provided to the registered FSMCs and any other company who
signs up.
- How to sign up for the training?
If you are not a FSMC who is registered with CNU, please send Mary Lee Dennis an email notifying CNU of the interest in attending.*Registered FSMCs for SY 21-22 will automatically receive a link to the training.
- When will the training be?
