The Arkansas Department of Education, Division of Elementary and Secondary Education has assigned a portion of the state set-aside funding from its ESSER II grant to award supplemental funding to those school districts that were eligible for ESSER II, but not allocated at least $600 per ADM in its regular ESSER II formula.  This is in acknowledgement that many districts face similar items of cost related to addressing coronavirus concerns, irrelevant to its poverty data or other federal funding levels. 

Supplemental ESSER II allocations awarded under the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act, 2021 (CRRSA) are now posted to the Arkansas Department of Education, Division of Elementary and Secondary Education website at:  https://dese.ade.arkansas.gov/Offices/fiscal-and-administrative-services/school-funding/allocations.

Supplemental ESSER II funds should be recorded using SOF 6794 and revenue code 45994.  Also, program codes established for regular ESSER II should also be applied to these supplemental ESSER II funds.  Allowable expenses will be the same for these supplemental funds as those in regular ESSER II.
