The Arkansas Department of Education, Division of Career and Technical Education (DCTE) and
Office of Computer Science and Computing are excited to announce the opening of
an off-cycle window to offer new Computer Science Program of Study options. The application window will run from April 15, 2021 to 11:59
PM on May 14, 2021. Funding may be available for this off-cycle window, but is
not guaranteed. In the event that funding is available, the distribution of
funds will be based on the review of application criteria. All DCTE and Perkins V requirements shall be followed to maintain approval for these
new Programs of Study.
Each of the three new Programs of Study include three new
courses that were created in the most recent standards update by the ADE Office
of Computer Science and Computing. These include:
- Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
- Computer Engineering
- Data Science
