Memo Text

Due to the COVID-19 emergency, many school districts experienced challenges in collecting data in the fall of 2020.  The DESE made the decision to pull ESA funding data on October 1, 2020 and again on October 15, 2020, using the data set that is most advantageous for each district in calculating 2021-22 ESA funding.  Attached is a report showing each district’s data on October 1 and October 15.  The column on the right indicates which data set (October 1 or October 15) is the more advantageous for each district, which is the data that the DESE will use in calculating 2021-22 ESA funding.

Please note that current-year-funded open-enrollment charter schools in the 2021-22 school year will be funded on October 1, 2021 data.
