The Division of Elementary & Secondary Education is seeking candidates for the Teacher Leader Advisory Group (DESE TLAG). 

The DESE TLAG is a network of outstanding teachers and building-level administrators who may assist the division by reviewing and providing input and feedback regarding department initiatives and assisting with other departmental functions, including but not limited to professional development activities, academic standards review, etc.. These emerging education leaders may be considered for membership on advisory committees and task forces and for recognition. Candidates also may be asked to provide valuable input on key issues. 

Recommended educators should have between five and 18 years of experience. Principals should have served a minimum of 10 years as an administrator, with no more than 20 years of experience. The recommended individuals are typically classroom teachers and are recognized by peers and supervisors for their ability to produce academic growth. A potential candidate, including teachers and principals, should serve as a model for others and is distinguished n the field of education. 

Candidates may be recommended by any colleague buy may not recommend themselves.
