Memo Text

Licensure Assessment Ready Support is designed to assist educators across the state as they prepare for assessments leading to educator licensure. The goal of the support program is to increase pass rates on state licensure assessments by providing targeted tutoring and pretest preparation.  Three areas are addressed as part of the support program.

Area 1:  Arkansas Foundations of Ready (FoR) Assessment (June 2021)

Led by R.I.S.E. Regional Specialists Carol Heringer and Dallas Henderson, separate sessions are designed for first time FoR test takers or assessment specific tutoring for those with previous unsuccessful AR FoR attempts.

Area 2:  General Test Preparation (Fall 2021)

Led by local Educational Service Cooperative and Institution of Higher Education trainers, participants will learn test taking and stress reducing strategies aimed to improve overall score performance.

Area 3:  Content Area Specific Assessment Tutoring (Summer 2021)

Based on stakeholder feedback and overall pass rates, 8 Praxis content tests have been identified for initial support. Tutoring sessions will be led by a content expert who has achieved a passing score on the content test. Sessions will be strategically based on test content and conducted virtually.

More information and how to register for sessions are on the DESE website HERE.
