Grant Award Notifications (GANs) for 2021-22 under the Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Act of 2006, as amended by the Strengthening Career and Technical Education for the 21^st Century Act (Perkins V) are posted on the Division of Career and Technical Education web site: ADE Division of Career and Technical Education Funding / Accountability (arkansas.gov) under Perkins funding.  Awards are listed in order by LEA number.

Each LEA is responsible for compliance with Perkins V (PL 115-224 I), the Education Department General Administrative Regulation (EDGAR), Office of Management and Budget, Uniform Grants Guidance (UGG) and the Arkansas Perkins Manual for secondary programs.  LEAs must permit DCTE and Federal auditors access to records as necessary to assess compliance with grant requirements.

The awards include redistribution of unexpended 2019-20 secondary awards (carryover).  The carryover amount, which is 11% of the total award, must be obligated by 9/30/21 and liquidated by 11/30/21 as noted on each GAN.  The balance of the total award is a distribution of the State’s secondary 2021-22 Perkins funds.  The total award agrees with the allocations previously announced and included in Insights – CTE.  Distributions are determined by formula as required in Perkins law.  DCTE finance will apply reimbursements made through the December Cognos pull to carryover until it is fully expended.  Carryover remaining in an LEA’s award at that time will be lost.
