Memo Text

The Office of Education Renewal Zones is offering the following professional development opportunities in September for schools who are on the journey to becoming professional learning communities. We hope you and your school teams will join us for these empowering days of learning. Participants may register on ESC Works or by clicking on the links below. All three of the Guiding Coalition meetings are covering the same information so you will want to choose one session or send different teams to different sessions.

Guiding Coalitions to Lead and Sustain Complex Change: No one person has the energy, expertise, and influence to lead a complex change process.  Creating a Guiding Coalition is a vital component in the work of developing and sustaining high-performing Professional Learning Communities.  Guiding Coalitions are made up of a small cadre of staff members, selected based on their influence with their peers. Solution Tree Associates will take us through the characteristics of assembling such a coalition and the work of this vital group to sustain major change.
