Memo Text
The Arkansas Department of Education, Division of Elementary and Secondary Education is pleased to offer 2021-2022 equipment and materials grants for Advanced Placement (AP) courses. A grant may be requested for any College Board approved Advanced Placement course being taught at a high school that has not recently received a grant for the course. Funds are limited, and priority will be given to new AP courses that have not previously been offered at the school. The remaining funds will be distributed based on the order in which applications are received.
Grant awards will be a maximum of $1,000 each. For the purpose of this funding opportunity, materials are defined as instructional items (books, manipulatives, etc.) and equipment as any necessary device (graphing calculators, etc.) directly related to the curriculum of the College Board Advanced Placement course.
The online grant application is available at the following link: https://forms.gle/9VR1F7bq8bXn6DHg7
Applications must be submitted no later than Friday, December 3, 2021. If a school is submitting more than one application (no more than three per high school), please rank the applications according to priority for funding. Applicants will be notified of their application status by Friday, January 7, 2022. If approved, purchases should be completed as soon as possible to ensure students receive maximum benefit from the materials. All proof of purchases must be received no later than Friday, February 18, 2022. If documentation of purchases is not received by the deadline, grant funds will not be awarded.
