Memo Text

The Arkansas Council for Military Children is now accepting nominations to recognize individuals for outstanding service to military families. The award is open to all persons not currently serving as a District Military Education Coordinator. Awardees will receive a certificate from the Arkansas Council for Military Children.

The basis for the award may be for a period of service or for a single act that has clearly been of benefit to military families in Arkansas. The service must have been rendered between January 1, 2020, and January 1, 2022. The nominator should be prepared to provide as much detail as possible to support the nomination and should be prepared to provide evidence of the service rendered. Each nominator is limited to nominating one person only.

Nominations may be submitted online at this link (Service to Military Families Award Nomination Form) between January 10, 2022, and February 10, 2022. Nominations will be screened by the council's Awards Committee. The council will vote on the nominations at its meeting on May 5, 2022. Certificates will be presented by the end of June 2022.
