Memo Text

Attention: Middle and High School STEM Subject Teachers

The Arkansas Department of Education is collaborating with the University of Arkansas at Little Rock to promote the 5-week summer STRIVE program to expand educator knowledge and experience within careers that utilize STEM skills. This professional learning experience through business internships around the state will empower teachers to build student awareness of and preparation for jobs that require STEM skills that they are teaching.

Are you interested in immersing yourself in a STEM business in our community this summer to enrich your classroom?
Do you want to be paid for enhancing your classroom with that internship?

If you answered yes to the questions above, check out https://ualr.edu/strive/ for more information on the STRIVE program!

There is also an open house zoom event on Saturday, January 22nd from 10 am - 2 pm where you can hear about the experience of teachers that participated last summer, and how it has impacted their classes! Learn more and register here.
