Pursuant
to A.C.A. § 6-21-813, all lawfully required inspections of academic facilities
are performed including without limitation, scheduled, unscheduled, or
emergency inspections of or concerning:
(A) Boilers
(B) Electrical systems
(C) Heating, ventilation, and
air conditioning systems
(D) Natural gas piping system
(E) Liquid propane gas system
(F) Plumbing systems,
including without limitation reduced pressure zone valves
(G) Indoor air quality
systems
(H) Fire Prevention
(I) Elevators
(J) Occupational safety and
health issues
(K) Water Wells
(L) Asbestos
State
Mandated Inspections are those inspections required by various
state agencies to assure occupant health and safety in public K-12 facilities
in Arkansas.
The
Division of Public School Academic Facilities and Transportation (Division)
is hereby reminding each school district that all State Mandated Inspections
for the 2021-2022 school year must be completed and closed-out in
the State required computerized maintenance management system, SchoolDude, by June
30, 2022, deadline.
All
semi-annual State Mandated Inspections should be closed-out when the second
requirement of the State Mandated Inspection has been/was completed. All
annual State Mandated Inspections should be closed out on the actual completion
date, as early completions without documentation require further investigation.
The results for each State Mandated Inspection for
each school district will be listed in a detailed report to the Commission for
Arkansas Public School Academic Facilities and Transportation, and then
forwarded to the Governor of the State of Arkansas, House Committee on
Education, Senate Committee on Education, Academic Facilities Oversight
Committee, Bureau of Legislative Audit, and the particular members of the State
House of Representatives and State Senate
