There have been several updates to the ESA platform that are illustrated in the attached document. The changes include:

• Enabling each of the categories in which funds will be budgeted. If funds will not be budgeted in a category, it would remain disabled.  

• All of the PLAN > DO > CHECK sections in which funds will be budgeted will need to be completed before submitting the plan.  Not completing part of a PLAN > DO > CHECK section will cause a yellow warning sign beside the green save button and will prevent submission of the plan.  

• Superintendents will now have the ability to assign observer roles (viewing only rights) to multiple staff members.  Only one person can be assigned editing rights at a time but multiple staff can be assigned observer rights.  

• The platform has been rolled over to the 2022-2023 school year so all budget amounts will now show as $0.00 until districts have a live budget in eFinance for 2022-2023 (September 30th) 

A timeline for successful planning and implementation of the ESA plan is attached.  

Function code 1510 has been added to the list of codes that will be pulled for ESA Matching Grant funds after the 2022-2023 school year.  The updated list is attached.
