The State Board of Education and Division of Elementary and Secondary Education are releasing for public comment proposed amendments to the division's Rules Governing Nutrition and Physical Activity Standards and Body Mass Index for Age Assessment Protocols in Arkansas Public Schools. 

 

A public comment hearing concerning these proposed rules amendments will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday June 30, 2022, at the Arkansas Department of Education, Arch Ford Building, Four Capitol Mall, Little Rock, AR, 72201. Written comments may be emailed to ADE.RulesComments@ade.arkansas.gov, or may be mailed to ADE Legal Services, Four Capitol Mall, Room 302A, Little Rock, AR, 72201.

Copies of the proposed rules are attached and also can be found on the Division of Elementary and Secondary Education’s website at https://dese.ade.arkansas.gov/Offices/legal/rules/pending. Copies also may be obtained by contacting ADE’s Legal Services Unit at the above address or via phone at (501) 682-4227. 

The public comment period will end at 4:30 p.m. on July 19, 2022.
