ADE has recently posted Preliminary Maintenance of Equity
Data through August 12, 2022. This data will give every district an idea of
where they stand in terms of passing or failing Maintenance of Equity. For
those districts who have passed Maintenance of Equity, nothing further is
required. For those districts that qualified for an exceptional or
uncontrollable circumstance exemption we have contacted you individually with a
form provided by USDE to fill out and send back to us. For those districts that
are currently failing Maintenance of Equity, the Finance Department has also
reached our separately with options/next steps for closing out fiscal year
2021-2022 and possible alternatives for a exemption through contacting USDE
directly.
If you have a “Yes” next to any of these options
below, you have passed Maintenance of Equity.

If you have a 0.00 in this exemption section, then your
district has qualified for an exceptional circumstance exemption for an overall
increase in per-pupil expenses from fiscal year 2020-2021 to 2021-2022.
We have contacted these districts separately with the next
steps for this exemption.
