The Division of Educator Effectiveness and Licensure has expanded its Licensure Assessment Ready tutoring sessions for the Foundations of Reading (190) and select Praxis content tests (see list below).


Arkansas Foundations of Reading (SA 190) (Pearson Education, Inc.)

 For Elementary Education (K-6) and Special Education (K-12) licenses, the Arkansas Foundations of Reading (SA 190) is required. SA 190 tutoring sessions are designed for educators who have not previously taken the SA 190 and for those who have had one or more unsuccessful attempts. Participants must have a confirmed appointment at a testing center before registering for a tutoring session. Register for a SA 190 session HERE.

Who should attend a tutoring session?

 1. Individuals enrolled in undergraduate, graduate, or alternative preparation programs leading to licensure

 2. Individuals who have not achieved a passing score on one of the identified licensure exams listed

 3. Individuals on Additional Licensure Plans (ALP)

 4. Individuals currently licensed and seeking to add an area by testing out


All sessions are free, virtual, and facilitated by Arkansas practitioners. Sessions consist of content specific tutoring combined with practice questions designed to improve both test takers confidence and performance. The complete Licensure Assessment Ready website may be accessed HERE.
