Memo Text

The Arkansas Department of Education is pleased to provide an ACT WorkKeys Toolkit to assist schools in promoting the career readiness assessment portion of our state assessment system. The attached toolkit provides schools with one page flyers, informational documents, and promotional videos for students, parents, and educators.

The WorkKeys Assessment was made possible by ACT 319 of 2021 and is an essential part of our state assessment system. This assessment provides all Arkansas High School students the opportunity to earn a portable and nationally recognized credential prior to graduation. The assessment not only provides students a credential but the opportunity for communities to expand their work ready community. The pathway to graduation now provides all Arkansas students the opportunity to earn a diploma and credential.

It is essential that ALL high school educators are knowledgeable on the benefits of the ACT WorkKeys for ALL Arkansas Graduates. This toolkit provides educators the resources needed to educate students, parents, and fellow educators on the assessment, benefits, and credential.
