The Division of Elementary and Secondary Education is conducting a short survey to meet the Arkansas Learns executive order. The intent of the survey is to determine the extent in which school districts provide parents and the public access to information about classroom curriculum, required reading materials, and books, in public schools and classrooms in Arkansas. 

District superintendents are asked to login to LEA Insights and complete the 5 question survey. The Curriculum Transparency Survey can be found under the CORE heading within LEA Insights.

Below are the survey questions within LEA Insights:

1. Do parents have access to information about classroom curriculum, required reading materials, and books? yes/no

  If yes, please provide the link where parents can assess this information 

2. Do parents have input on curriculum selection committees? yes/no

3. Does the school allow alternate assignments if requested by parent or guardian?

4. Do parents have online access to the list of books in the school library? 

5. Additional Comments 

 

Superintendents are asked to complete the survey by Friday, March 10th.
