DESE is pleased to announce that at its regularly-scheduled meeting on March 3, 2023, the Professional Licensure Standards Board discussed the Executive Order to Prioritize L.E.A.R.N.S. Item 3(b) and voted unanimously to recommend to the State Board of Education approval of a waiver of first-time teacher licensure application fees for the following period: May 1, 2023 – August 31, 2023

On April 13, 2023, at its regularly-scheduled meeting and as part of the action agenda, the Arkansas State Board of Education considered the Professional Licensure Standards Board’s recommendation for a waiver of first-time teacher licensure application fees for the following period: May 1, 2023 – August 31, 2023. The Arkansas State Board of Education voted unanimously to accept the recommendation of the Professional Licensure Standards Board.
