Career Coach programs for academic year 2025.

Description
Purpose of Program: The Arkansas College and Career Coach program is designed to
motivate and support Arkansas students achieve their goals
as they relate to college and career planning. Students in
grades 7 – 12 qualify for services from a Career Coach. The Arkansas College
and Career Coach program provides assistance and information for resources in
the areas of academic tutoring, career exploration, college planning, financial
guidance, and other supports necessary for postsecondary education/training
access, retention, and success.
Structure of Program: College and Career Coaches are co-located at an institution of
higher education, education cooperative, or non-profit organization. They
provide their services directly to students in middle and high school through their
on-campus placement.
Funding Period: Up to 12 months (July 1, 2024 – June 30, 2025)
Grants provided by
DCTE will cover 1/2 of the career coach's salary and benefits, and all cost associated with
enrichment programs, computer technology, and travel/training associated with
DCTE-approved meetings and workshops. To be eligible to receive funds, a school
district must partner with an institution of higher education (two- or
four-year), education service cooperative, or nonprofit organization.
