The Division of Career and Technical Education (DCTE), Arkansas Career Coach program is pleased to announce the availability of grants to implement Career Coach programs for academic year 2025.

Funding Opportunity Description

Purpose of Program:  The Arkansas College and Career Coach program is designed to motivate and support Arkansas students achieve their goals as they relate to college and career planning. Students in grades 7 – 12 qualify for services from a Career Coach. The Arkansas College and Career Coach program provides assistance and information for resources in the areas of academic tutoring, career exploration, college planning, financial guidance, and other supports necessary for postsecondary education/training access, retention, and success.

Structure of Program:  College and Career Coaches are co-located at an institution of higher education, education cooperative, or non-profit organization. They provide their services directly to students in middle and high school through their on-campus placement.

Funding Period:  Up to 12 months (July 1, 2024 – June 30, 2025)

Grants provided by DCTE will cover 1/2 of the career coach's salary and benefits, and all cost associated with enrichment programs, computer technology, and travel/training associated with DCTE-approved meetings and workshops. To be eligible to receive funds, a school district must partner with an institution of higher education (two- or four-year), education service cooperative, or nonprofit organization.
