Memo Text
The Child Care and
Development Fund (CCDF) Plan serves as the application for the Child Care and
Development Block Grant (CCDBG) funds by providing a description of, and
assurance about, the grantee’s child care program and all services available to
eligible families. The Office of Child Care within the Administration for
Children and Families at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services
reviews the CCDF Plan for approval.
The CCDBG Reauthorization Act of 2014 requires state-led
child care agencies to submit a plan every three years that outlines the
state’s child care policies and plans for using the CCDF resources. CCDF is a
federal and state partnership program used to help families with low incomes
gain access to quality child care. The Arkansas Department of Education (ADE)
has been designated as the Lead Agency for CCDF.
The ADE Office of Early Childhood will be hosting a
public hearing on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at the
Arkansas Department of Education, 4 Capitol Mall, Little Rock, AR 72201, in the
auditorium. For additional information, please contact Brandy Ishmon at
