Memo Text

The Arkansas Department of Education: Division of Career and Technical Education is pleased to announce the launch of the Modernization Grant initiative aimed at enhancing established Career and Technical Education (CTE) pathways across Arkansas. This grant is designed to support pathways already in place that align with high-demand and high-wage (H2) occupations, ensuring our students are well-prepared for the evolving job market. This grant allows modernizing minimum equipment to meet the latest technology demands and opportunities within the established H2 pathways.

To apply, you'll need to furnish thorough details about the existing pathway and outline the essential upgrades required for equipment. The funds from the grant are earmarked specifically for purchasing items listed in the Minimum Equipment List. Grant awards are designated solely for enhancing equipment within an already established pathway.

Eligibility and Use of Funds:

  • The grant is exclusively for enhancing equipment within an already established CTE pathway.
  • Funds cannot be used for new program development, personnel, or operational costs.
  • The goal is to modernize existing programs to meet current industry standards and better prepare students for H2 occupations.

Application Deadline:

Please submit your completed applications by June 28, 2024.

How to Apply:

Submit your application and supporting documents electronically through the 2024-2025 Modernization Grant form. Detailed instructions can be found on our website here.

We encourage all eligible school districts and CTE program administrators to take advantage of this opportunity to enhance their programs and better equip our students for future success.
