Statements of Assurance

Using the attached document, Superintendents are required to review and sign the Statements of Assurance (SOA) for the 2024-2025 school year. Once completed, please upload the signed SOA to the Standards for Accreditation (SFA) Tool. The submission deadline is September 1, 2024.

Standards for Accreditation

Attached are the pending Rules Governing the Standards for Accreditation, which establish the essential requirements for all public schools in the state. The Division of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) is responsible for monitoring and ensuring compliance with these standards across all public schools. The Standards and Systems Support Unit collaborates with districts and schools to support the establishment and maintenance of a strong educational foundation through consistent adherence to the Standards for Accreditation.

Standards for Accreditation System (SFA)

The Standards for Accreditation Tool is scheduled to open on October 1, 2024, providing districts with access to updated accreditation assessment measures.

Accreditation Accountability Cycle

Districts will receive monthly Standards for Accreditation exception snapshots on the 21st of each month. Failure to address corrective actions may lead to citation monitoring. Findings from monitoring cycles could result in district citations brought before the State Board of Education throughout the school year. Final Accreditation statuses will be determined on May 1, 2025.
