The Arkansas Department of Education: Office of Information Technology is pleased to present three replacement options for the current DIS listservs, which will be decommissioned effective January 31, 2025. Below are the details of each option:

Option 1: New APSCN Portal – Message Board

  • The ADE will launch a new APSCN web portal by January 20, 2025.
  • Features include:
    • Built-in Content Management System.
    • Message Board modules for secure, private, and public messaging.
    • Integration with the School Personnel Directory (SPD).
    • Role-based messaging functionality.

Option 2: ADE Distribution Lists

  • Designed for entities other than school districts and educational service cooperatives.
  • Requirements:
    • If you or your entity is not part of the defined School Personnel Role (Coordinator Code), this option may apply.
    • The current Message List-Serv Owner must have a valid ADE email account.

Option 3: Alternative Third-Party Tools

  • There are many alternative solutions for this type of technology, and we would encourage you to explore these for your listserv needs moving forward.
  • Some alternative solutions include email distribution lists, and web-based services such as:
