Reporting
Requirements
Annually each year,
public school districts and open-enrollment public charter school shall report in
the Division of Elementary and Secondary Education statewide information system
the:
- Type or types of math and literacy interventions used; and
- Number of students who are receiving each type of intervention.
This year districts will submit this information to DESE via Cyle 7
only. Starting in 2025-2026 the
information will be submitted in Cycles 4 and 7 annually. The interventions should be entered into
eSchool via the menu path: Menu
Access: Registration > Entry & Reports > Student District Defined
> Learning Interventions.
The Math Intervention Plan should be marked if the
student is receiving math intervention, is in grades 3rd-8th, and is not
performing at or above grade level on the state math assessment according to
A.C.A § 6-17-431.
At least one of the following interventions must be provided
and reported:
- Extended Instruction – Extended Instruction for Math is instruction beyond Tier 1 instruction and is offered during or after school
- High Dose Tutoring – High Dose Tutoring for Math involves three or more tutoring sessions a week in a one-on-one or small group setting.
- Highly Effective Teacher - A Highly Effective Math Teacher may include any of below criteria:
- Teacher meets VAM Score criteria
- Highly effective rating in the Teacher Excellence and Support System.
- Master Professional Educator designation
The Reading Intervention Plan should be marked if the
student is receiving reading intervention and is in grades K-3rd according to
A.C.A § 6-17-429.
At least one of the following interventions must be provided
and reported:
- Extended Instruction – Extended Instruction for Reading is instruction beyond Tier 1 instruction and is offered during or after school.
- High Dose Tutoring – High Dose Tutoring for Reading involves three or more tutoring sessions a week in a one-on-one or small group setting.
- Highly Effective Teacher - A Highly Effective Reading Teacher may include any of below criteria:
- Teacher meets VAM Score criteria
- Highly effective rating in the Teacher Excellence and Support System.
- Master Professional Educator designation
- Structured Literacy Intervention Program – Student is receiving literacy intervention with an approved program beyond the core instruction.
Dyslexia Reporting
Ark. Code Ann. § 6-41-606 has two
requirements for dyslexia reporting by the district.
- eSchool reporting of students receiving dyslexia intervention
The superintendent of a school district annually shall
report the results of the school district screening required under Ark. Code
Ann. § 6-41-603. This data will be submitted during cycle 7.
- Website posting- Before July 15
Reporting by the School District under Ark. Code.
Ann. 6-41-606(b) mended the provisions to include an additional reporting
requirement. Before July 15, each public school district shall report on the
website of the public school district or in writing to the parents of each
student in the public school district the following information:
- The dyslexia intervention programs used during the previous school year that were specifically responsive to assisting students with dyslexia;
- The number of students during the previous school year who received dyslexia intervention; and
- The total number of students identified with dyslexia during the previous school year (Ark. Code Ann. § 6-41-606 (b)).

During the 20XX-20XX school year, Anywhere Public School District used the evidenced-based XYZ Dyslexia Intervention Program in small group intervention to address the deficit areas of students identified as exhibiting the characteristics of dyslexia.
- Number of Students Who Received Dyslexia Intervention
During the 20XX-20XX school year, ## students attending Anywhere Public School District received dyslexia intervention services from a trained dyslexia interventionist.
- Total Number of Students Identified as Exhibiting the Characteristics of Dyslexia During the 20XX-20XX school year, ## students attending Anywhere Public School District were identified as exhibiting the characteristics of dyslexia.
