To connect the Science of Reading to writing, the Division of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) is excited to partner for a fifth year with a team from The Writing Revolution (TWR) to offer two synchronous courses:
- Advancing Thinking Through Writing I for grades K-2 (8-hour course)
- Advancing Thinking Through Writing I for grades 3-12 (12-hour course)
These courses are open for all content teachers in grades K-12 at no charge to the participating district. Please review the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the DESE and school districts planning to implement TWR writing strategies in 2025-2026.

You will directly enroll your participants in their cohort through the MOU Google Form.
Please provide the following information for each participating educator:
- First and last name
- Email address which will be used for enrollment and all communications
- Position
- Supporting grade level(s)
- Supporting content area(s)
- Cohort choice
If your district has more that 25 participants, you will simply fill out the MOU again for the additional participants.
