Memo Text

We are excited to announce the release of Street Smart, a first-of-its-kind road education and safety curriculum for Arkansas students, developed by the Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT), in partnership with the Arkansas Department of Education (ADE).

Beginning in the 2025–2026 school year, Street Smart can be introduced to students in grades 6 through 8 to educate them on road safety as a driver, passenger, and pedestrian. The program will be expanded to a comprehensive K–12 curriculum in the future. The Street Smart curriculum features engaging videos, lessons aligned with state standards, and interactive online games designed to help students develop strong, lasting, road safety skills.
