Memo Text

The Arkansas Department of Education today released the School and Classroom Value Added Growth scores from the 2024-2025 school year. This data empowers teachers and school and district leaders to explore patterns and trends in student growth on assessments.  The Teacher Value Added measures module will be coming soon - but is not included in this release.

School Data Release

Data and visualizations for student value-added growth scores and educator-, grade-, and school-level are now available for viewing by district and school leadership in LEA insights. The School and Classroom Value-Added Growth modules are designed for exploration and analysis to support local efforts to improve teaching and learning for all students.  DESE has incorporated two new features in this release:

  1. Primary/Secondary teacher indicator

  2. Included in Lowest 25% Growth indicator

Superintendents or technology coordinators may grant access to district and school leadership or teachers under the “Admin” tab.

Modules & Webinar Training

Recorded modules explaining the Value-Added Growth Scores can be accessed at https://dese.ade.arkansas.gov/Offices/public-school-accountability/school-performance/value-added-growth.

The ADE will host two webinars where participants can gain a better understanding of the data within LEA Insights modules and how the data modules may be used.

District and/or school leaders are encouraged to attend one of the following sessions.  The content during each session will be the same:

Accountability results under the newly approved formula for the 2024-2025 school year are still forthcoming and expected to be released in September.
