As part of DESE's continued efforts to address the mental health needs of students in schools, we are excited to support Phones in Focus, a nationwide initiative designed to provide district leaders with evidence-based information regarding school cell phone policies. On behalf of the National Governors' Association, Dr. Angela Duckworth (author of Grit) is asking Arkansas educators to join this landmark study on school cell phone policies. Dr. Duckworth shared information with superintendents on the AAEA zoom recently and we encourage you to share this with district staff and encourage participation.
