DESE is hosting an informational webinar focused on the K-3 summative literacy assessment. This session will provide practical guidance and key updates to support schools as they close out the year and prepare students and families for summer.

Webinar Topics Will Include:

• End-of-Year Literacy Guidance
  Best practices and expectations for final literacy instruction and documentation.
• Closing Out Individual Reading Plans (IRPs)
  Step-by-step guidance on completing and finalizing IRPs for the school year.
• Creating Read-at-Home Plans for Students
  How to develop clear, meaningful Read-at-Home plans to support continued literacy growth beyond the classroom.
• K–2 Summative Assessment Updates
  The Assessment Unit will share final details related to the K–2 Summative Assessment, including updates to the student microphone check process. (See attached directions for microphone check.) 

This webinar is designed to ensure educators have the information, tools, and clarity needed for a smooth end-of-year transition while supporting student literacy success.
