The Arkansas Department of Education encourages schools to share this information with students and encourage eligible students to apply for Senator John Boozman's 2026-2027 Congressional Youth Cabinet. The program is open to Arkansas students who will be high school juniors during the 2026-2027 school year. Applications must be submitted by September 18, 2026. 
About the Program: The Congressional Youth Cabinet provides selected Arkansas high school students with an opportunity to engage in the policymaking process while gaining a deeper understanding of how Congress operates. This nonpartisan program highlights the importance of the legislative process and encourages civic engagement by showing students how they can participate in shaping public policy.
Student eligibility
 Senator Boozman’s office asks that students interested in serving as a member of the Congressional Youth Cabinet meet the following criteria:
  • Be a high school junior for the current school year in Arkansas;
  • Currently hold at least a GPA of 2.0;
  • Possess a strong commitment to personal growth and continued success within their community; and
  • Have a reliable attendance history in school.
