Memo Text
Social and emotional learning (SEL) is the process through which children and adults understand and manage emotions, set and achieve positive goals, feel and show empathy for others, establish and maintain positive relationships, and make responsible decisions.
In an effort to offer support for the whole child, many districts are in search of resources to reinforce social and emotional learning. The Office of Education Renewal Zones (ERZs) compiled a list of resources of some SEL programs currently used throughout the state. The resource provides links and data to assist districts in their search for supplemental SEL programs. The information gathered is not intended to support one program over another but to offer information in assisting districts.
The Social and Emotional Learning Programs resource is attached or may be found on the ENGAGE Arkansas page of the DESE website.
