The Arkansas Department of Education (ADE) is pleased to announce that Grade 3 through High School student, school, and district results from the Arkansas Teaching, Learning & Assessment System (ATLAS) are available in the ATLAS portal. This will allow districts to begin to analyze the school data based on the new assessment performance level descriptors.
As a reminder, school and district results are based on a new assessment and cut score. Therefore, a comparision to the previous state exam should not be done. Assessment results are a new baseline for the summative assessment.
Educators can access results through the login information provided to District Test Coordinators (DTCs). DTCs should ensure district access and begin to distribute log-in information to parents. DESE has provided a DTC Toolkit to assist in this process.
Results from the new K-3 fall screener will be released later this week. Testlets and Individual Reading Plan (IRP) templates will also be published in the ATLAS portal at this time.
Tools, Resources, and Training for Educators
Educators will be able to access ATLAS data in the ATLAS reporting system as well. District testing coordinators can now set up appropriate permissions in the portal in preparation for scores. DESE will provide training throughout the month of October and November via education cooperatives, webinars, and recorded modules on interpreting and using the data. Dates and topics are outlined below.
